Meet Our Teachers

Miss Nicole

Nicole started her dance training at the age of two right here at  Andrea’s Dance Studio. She has trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and Contemporary.  Throughout her childhood she attended The American Ballet Academy summer camp and as she grew older trained in Manhattan at the Broadway dance center and Steps in NYC and was accepted for the dance program at LaGuardia high school for performing arts.  She has also trained with award winning choreographers such as Stacey Tookey and other SYTCD professionals at Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.  As a dancer she has competed in and won numerous competitions, performed with singers in live performances as well as music videos in NYC.

Growing up Nicole loved performing on stage but always had a passion for teaching and choreographing dances for others.  As a teacher/choreographer Nicole’s competition students have won numerous awards and competitions throughout the tri-state area.  Her passion for teaching dance has driven her to teach dance classes at many public schools including P.S. 83, P.S. 105, Anne Hutchinson middle school and Greenvale middle school teaching grades 2 – 5 hip hop and jazz.  Over the years Nicole has worked for many colleges such as Hostos Community college and Fordham University working with all ages teaching hip hop and jazz.  Throughout her dance carreer Nicole has always strived to ultimately own her own dance studio and pass on her passion for dance to future generation.  She has recently fulfilled this dream and  taken over Andrea’s Dance Studio, the school she originally started her training in and is now the owner/director of the studio.  She hopes to keep this 50 year old business running with a fresh new vibe and bring in new styles of dance for her students.

Miss Kimberly

Kimberly Montaldo has been dancing at Andrea's Dance Studio since she is 2 years old.  She began her teaching career at the studio in high school assisting different teachers in different styles.  That's where her love for teaching and dance grew even more and she began taking on her own choreography.  Throughout high school Kim was the dance captain for various productions put on at both Preston and Salesian High Schools.  She was the captain of the dance team and in senior year was in charge of the team and put together a showcase at the end of the year with several dances by the members. Kimberly is now a New York City Public School Teacher with a degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (Birth- Grade 6). Kimberly also has her Literacy Master's degree for children through grades 6. Working with children has always been a passion for Kimberly and she is fortunate to be able to be working in two fields that help her live her dream. She has developed her dancing career in many different areas and specializes in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop.
